Unlike conventional vegetables grown with heavy synthetic nitrogen inputs, regenerative farming encourages slower, healthier growth, which may result in slightly thicker stems packed with flavour and nutrients.

A bit of history

Often mistaken for baby broccoli, broccolini is actually a unique hybrid created by crossing traditional broccoli with Chinese kale (gai lan). Developed in Japan in the 1990s, it combines the sweetness and tenderness of broccoli with the long, succulent stems of Chinese kale. Today, it is loved by chefs and home cooks alike for its mild flavor and elegant appearance.

Like other members of the brassica family, broccolini is naturally rich in vitamins C and A, fibre, and antioxidants.
